For Always
I started this series shortly after my father died in 2000. It became the process through which I grieved his passing and celebrated the memory of his full and happy life. The title of each painting is a phrase from one of my my father’s favourite poems, The Lake Isle of Innisfree, by William Butler Yeats. For Always represents the rich landscape of experience that makes up our life’s voyage, a passage made richer and more meaningful by the height of its joys and the depths of its sorrows.
