These works are representational paintings of abstract collages. Each collage has been incorporated into its painted counterpart. For Always represents the rich landscape of experience that makes up our life’s voyage, a passage made richer and more meaningful by the height of its joys and the depths of its sorrows. Painting this series was the process through which I grieved my father’s death and celebrated the memory of his full and happy life. In his honour, each painting’s title is a phrase from one of my father’s favourite poems, The Lake Isle of Innisfree, by William Butler Yeats.
